Pre-K music classes – music for the little people
Opus School of Music has an original pre-k music program designed by owner/director Rob Melton. The classes will be offered beginning summer 2010. We look forward to having the energy and sound of the little ones at Opus.
Singing, listening, playing instruments, and moving to the music – young children revel in this positive and engaging experience. Research has proven that children who experience musical activities enhance their emotional, social, physical, sensory, and intellectual development.
Opus School of Music provides a fun, non-performance based atmosphere that nurtures the child’s natural sense of wonder and discovery. You and your child will sing, dance, play instruments, learn about music, imagine, discover new friends and most of all share a good time.
We will be offering one class this summer 2011 term.
Music Makers: Ages 3 to 5 years, Hands-on activities make this class exciting to the touch. Your child’s brain wants patterns and predictability and music has it all. You will share in movement songs that develop, deepen and strengthen coordination. You will explore and learn beginning musical concepts on a variety of instruments. It’s time to laugh and learn how to dance with your nose and grow like a tree.
