Opus School of Music serves Southwest Washington and provides music instruction, rentals, and sales.
Fall 2010 begins Tuesday, August 31st and runs through December 18th.
"It's Time to Play"
At Opus we give students a well-rounded musical education focusing on skills, repertoire, theory, ear training, technique, history and performance. Many of our students collaborate with each other during the term and perform their “Opus” during our concerts. We match students together and even welcome non-Opus students to participate in combos or groups. The results are impressive – some groups continue to work together throughout the year and play around the metro area. We record our concerts and a DVD is released and available to the public with all benefits going to our tuition scholarship fund.
This fall 2010 term we are excited to have more students than ever! We have had some great concerts and jams so far this year. The summer bands have sounded awesome. The 4th of July Band will be having their performance up on our website soon. Thank you to all the wonderful families and students for supporting us. This fall term, in addition to private lessons for guitar, piano, drum set, voice, woodwinds and brass, we offer group piano, group guitar, Opus’ original Planet Percussion and pre-k music classes.
We rent and sell guitars, pianos, woodwinds, brass, drum sets and carry many books and accessories for our students as well as for school band students. Visit our services page or better yet, come in and check us out.
